Despite it looking like Dakota Johnson is ready to heave first trimester barfs into the nearest Ellen-branded coffee mug in that image above, that’s not what’s happening here. At least according to Dakota, who is again shutting down any possible pregnancy rumors that may be tagging along behind her name this week.
Earlier this week, TMZ thought they’d blown the lid off a possible gender reveal party mystery after they discovered some pink and blue balloons flying overhead at Chris Martin’s house. The blue string of balloons had been semi-released into the air, which was enough evidence for TMZ to say that Dakota was pregnant with a baby boy. However, her rep said the balloons were just birthday party decorations. Dakota turned 29 on October 4.
Dakota appeared on Ellen today, and it’s like she knew people would be gauging the looseness of her ensemble, because she showed up in possibly the tightest skirt her stylist could find. Ellen DeGeneres commented that it was a pretty tight outfit for someone who’s pregnant, and that’s when Dakota once again denied she’s pregnant.
“Well, the only thing I’m pregnant with is a lot of really good ideas. But not any babies…It was my birthday, and there were balloons that happened to be pink and blue, and so then I was pregnant?”
Dakota adds that the balloons were supposed to be in an arch, and that she guesses one of the ends accidentally was released and started flying into the air. She says she got a lot of attention and that many people congratulated her, and that since her birthday party went public, she’s been awkwardly trying to explain to people why they weren’t invited. Later in the show, Ellen jokingly asked what baby names Dakota has picked out, to which she replied: “Zeus.” Obviously Dakota could be lying about not having a fetus with Chris Martin’s sleepy DNA in her body, or she could be telling the truth. Only time will tell! Well, time, or if someone overhears Chris Martin’s voice say: “And it was all yellow…because of the pee. It was also blue after the lines showed up on the pregnancy test.”
