Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin Got Matching Tattoos

In case people were still wondering just how serious the relationship between Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin is, we finally have an answer. Chris and Dakota are matching infinity symbol tattoos serious. Which is pretty serious. Infinity is a really long time, just ask Thanos! According to The Daily Mail, the pair have each been spotted “sporting the exact same infinity symbol inking, intertwined with two X’s”, which, how basic can you get? You’d think if you were as wealthy as these two and had access to the best culture, arts, and literature the world has to offer, they could come up with something a little more original.

The Daily Mail reports:

The dainty tattoo was noticed on Dakota’s left elbow as she stepped out for the Suspiria photocall at 75th Venice International Film Festival last week, while Chris unveiled the same ink on his right forearm in Los Angeles a day prior.

Stars, they really are just like, if not us, our trashy cousin Brenda and that guy from over in Yakima! I’d love to show you a good picture but both tats, but they are so minuscule and faint they look like they were done by a bored high schooler in detention with a needle and ballpoint pen. Here’s the best picture I could find.

If you’re going to make a bold romantic gesture like matching tattoos, go big or go home. They should have gotten the REAL symbol of infinity, Dakota’s Suspiria co-star Tilda Swinton’s face, tattooed on their chests in full color. Otherwise what is even the point? Then again, Chris would have probably had to get Gwyneth’s permission before doing that, so maybe the little chicken scratch symbols of love were the right move.
