Andy Cohen Keeps Getting Kicked Off An App That Sounds A Lot Like Grindr
When he’s not snatching Kathy Griffin’s friendship contract away from Anderson Cooper, Andy Cohen is shit-stirring with middle-aged housewives across the entire U.S. of A. But when he’s not doing that, he’s just looking for love like the rest of us. Andy wants to scroll through dating apps for love or, at the very least, a steady trick (I’m paraphrasing). Alas, he says his fame is cockblocking his online dating chances.
Andy was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today, and he told her it’s fun to be single, but said he’d swipe right for her guest DJ Pauly D. Ellen asked him what apps he uses, and he replied he’s skipping Raya (that dating app geared toward celebrities) in favor of more common-man ones like Tinder and a gay one he didn’t name.
“There is a gay dating app that I’m on that I keep getting kicked off of because they think I’m impersonating Andy Cohen. They’re like, ‘Your photos don’t meet our guidelines,’ and I’m like, ‘It is me!’”
Mmmhmm! More like the Grindr gods had to tell you to slow down on the dick pics!
Andy took to Twitter to say it was not Grindr.
The dating app I was referring to on @TheEllenShow is called Chappy

Chappy bills itself as a place where you can meet up for a quick fling or a serious relationship. Well, when one gay door closes, another gay door shimmies open, and it sounds like that presented itself in the form of a Q&A session at a taping of Watch What Happens Live this week. A pretty young guest asked Andy out on a date:
“I was like, ‘Are you even over 25?’ And he was like, ‘Almost,’” he recalled. “And I said, ‘I think you might be too young.’”
That being said, Andy did say he thought his match would likely come from meeting on TV. This really tees up the return of campy caramel morsel of delight Dwight Eubanks for next season on Real Housewives Of Atlanta!
