Harry Styles’ Name Has Come Up As Another Choice For The Next Bond

Over the years, we’ve heard talk of the possibility of a Black Bond (Idris Elba), we’ve heard talk of a Thirsty Bond (Tom Hiddleston) and there was even talk of an Aussie Bond (Hugh Jackman)! But is the world ready for talk of a Baby Bond? While Flinty Bond (Daniel Craig) still has the role on lockdown for one last go-round, one of the editors on Spectre, Lee Smith, had the brilliant idea that Harry Styles should be the next James Bond, reports The Daily Mail.

Lee Smith must be the president of the “Grown Ups 4 1D Fan Club” because he’s totally been fangirling out over Harry since seeing him in Dunkirk. Lee said:

‘Harry could do it. If they wanted a younger Bond then why not? He has got it. Harry is really good and he can go all the way. He is an exceptional talent and a complete natural on camera.

Lee went on to further gush about Harry.

Speaking about his performance in Dunkirk, he continued: ‘You would have thought you were dealing with a guy with many years of experience. You would never know that was his first film. If he wants to act, I cannot imagine he would not have a great future.’

I watched Dunkirk just the other night and didn’t know Harry was in it until I read this story. Thinking back, I did find one actor in particular to be unbelievably magnetic and natural but that was grown man Tom Hardy. Who I think would make a great Bond! Have we discussed a Cock Catcher Bond before? I mean, outside of my vivid fantasy life?

Meanwhile, over in Nevergonnahappenville, Variety reports that Idris once again swatted down the lusty cries of those who’d like to see him don 007’s tiny swim trunks. But he did have some suggestions for where the franchise might go in the future. Idris thinks a Lady Bond might be a good idea.

“Are we interested in having a Bond character other than being a male?” Elba asked. “Could be a woman, could be a black woman, could be a white woman, but I think, that character, everybody would like to see it have — do something different with it, why not?”

Actually, considering that Harry is about as manly as a drugstore Valentine’s Day display, his casting as Bond might be just the bridge we need to ready the public for an eventual Lady Bond.
