Now For The Time Pink Almost Got Clocked By Christina Aguilera At A Club

This is just what I want on a Friday after a long week; to be magically whisked back to the T-Mobile Sidekicks-and-low-rise lace-up crotch jeans years of the early 2000s. The pilot of our journey will be Pink, who told a story about Christina Aguilera coming at her in a club.

There was a time when Pink hated her “Lady Marmalade” co-singer Christina Aguilera as much as whoever put that busted poodle wig on Christina’s head in the “Lady Marmalade” video hated Christina. But Pink recently stated on Twitter that she no longer feels that way. Pink appeared on Watch What Happens Live! last night night to promote her new album, Beautiful Trauma. And during a game of Plead the Fifth, she was asked how her feud with Christina even started in the first place. Can you believe it all came down to two massive egos?

“We were super young and super new at the whole thing. And I think I’m an alpha, and she’s an alpha. And I’m used to taking my altercations physical, and she’s used to having them verbal. And we just are very different. And we were very young and new, and you have to learn…like, women have to learn how to support each other. It’s not taught to us on the playground.”

Andy Cohen then asked Pink if she tried to get physical with Christina. As it turns out, it was Christina who tried to put her hands on Pink.

“Actually, she swung on me, in a club, which is hilarious. I was like ‘What’s happening right now? What are you, what’s happening?’ But no, we’re fine.”

To me, this is a far better 2000s urban club legend than the one about Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake getting into a dance off. I want to hear more about the time a pre-Dirrty-era Xtina thought she could take on a bruiser like Pink. Hilarious, indeed. I don’t know what kind of boxing lessons Christina got on the set of The Mickey Mouse Club, but it must have been taught by the same person who schooled Ryan Gosling in talking like an old-fashioned street tough.
