Johnny Depp And Amber Heard’s Restraining Order Hearing Might Not Happen Tomorrow (UPDATE)

For the past week, there has been so much undecided back and forth about Amber Heard’s upcoming restraining order hearing to turn her temporary restraining order against Johnny Depp into a permanent one. First we heard that Johnny was allegedly going to also ask for a restraining order against her. Then we heard that Johnny was going to refuse to testify and plead the fifth. Then Amber went ahead and removed any conversation about money from the trial by pulling her request for spousal support. And most recently, Johnny’s team reportedly tried to stop Amber’s friends from testifying. Now word is that the whole thing might not even happen tomorrow.

TMZ says that Johnny’s lawyers are requesting that tomorrow’s trial be postponed. According to sources, Johnny and Amber want to walk away from this shit faster than audiences at the end of Mortdecai. For Johnny, that means getting together and settling everything, like property and spousal support, rather than dragging out their drama in court. Despite the fact that Amber recently threw her request for spousal support in the trash, the sources say there’s a chance they’ll come to some kind of money agreement. Johnny will most likely offer 8 months worth of spousal support. It’s not known if the amount of spousal support will be in the neighborhood of $50,000 a month, aka the original amount Amber requested.

A quick divorce settlement meeting will mean that they’ll finally decide who gets custody of the dry shampoo and hobo scarves and all that nonsense. But a settlement also means that Amber can’t file a civil suit against Johnny for the alleged domestic violence. However, they don’t specify if that also includes that she wouldn’t be able to publicly talk about the allegations in the future.

So far, neither Johnny’s people nor Amber’s people have confirmed whether they’re postponing tomorrow’s hearing to settle their divorce. But a source from Amber’s side tells TMZ that the hearing is still on and she will be in court tomorrow. The source goes on to roll its eyes at Johnny’s request to settle, and claims the only reason he’s trying to get out of the hearing is because he’s afraid of what will be said. They add that Amber has no desire to settle her domestic violence case.

So it might still happen. There’s also a chance it might now. But I’m sure that whatever happens, it will be a mess. Go to trial and testify about alleged abuse? Mess. Skip the trial and argue over stuff that smells like a ghost’s haunted butt hole? Mess. Not to mention the statements that will be released. I’m sure both parties will be up at the crack of dawn tomorrow morning to stretch their shoulders to prevent a muscle tear when they inevitably start dragging each other.

UPDATE: Well, so much for those “sources” who claimed there was no way Amber was missing that hearing tomorrow. UsWeekly says that the Los Angeles County Court’s public information officer has confirmed that the case has been “continued” (ie. postponed), but that no new date has been set.
