The Incredible Shrinking Jhud
Jennifer Hudson is like my meth head ex-boyfriend's peen: Every time I see her, she looks skinnier and skinnier. But unlike my meth head ex-boyfriend's peen, JHud has no trouble standing erect without the help of a 2-hour hand job, a lot of coaching and a mess of Viagra. (I think).
JHud, who is putting out a weight-loss book soon (Chapter 1 - Become a spokeswoman for Weight Watchers. If that's not possible, smoke crack and bid adieu to all your ribs), nearly made her fingers kiss when she posed on the carpet at amfAR's Inspiration Gala in NYC last night. Ugh. When I put my hands around my waist, my fingers can barely see each other's tips because a hilly mound of bloat is blocking their view of each other. If Weigh Watchers had Cheetos nachos, Frosted Circus Animal Cookies and Coke Margaritas on their menu and gave complimentary lipo each week, I'd totally join! If JHud loses anymore weight, she'll win every single Verdine White look-alike contest and that's reason enough to be mad at her.

Weight loss does not always = better health. There are many unhealthy ways to lose weight and many skinny people who are very unhealthy.
Whether JHud had surgery or not, without good eating habits and regular exercise, the weight will come back. I know someone who had bypass surgery, will not exercise and still eats crap, just less of it - he still tries to overeat but it makes him throw up. He lost a lot of weight right after the surgery, but has since put back on much of the weight he lost. I have another friend who wants the lap band surgery, who has NEVER eaten healthy or exercised. He eats great quantities of food every day, much of it junk food. I wish I could talk him out of it, but he thinks it will make him effortlessly thin forever.

#1 J-Hud did not lose her weight through Surgery.
#2 Even if she did, how is that unhealthy? The main reason some people are given Gastric Bypas, the Sleeve, or Lapband is if they are morbidly overweight. So yeah, it is healthy for HEALTH reasons. It is easy to sit behind your PC and make statements for which you have no proof and seem to be content in this cloud of fallacy.

With all due respect Tangeline: If Ms. Hudsons' weight loss is the result of any type of state of the art INTERNAL surgery...she is basically trading one type of poor health (obesity) for another.I've read about the side effects.It just 'aint healthy.I will add at this point that I have no problem with cosmetic (EXTERNAL) surgery (lipo / laser...etc.)...AS LONG AS you are committing to a program of training hard and EATING RIGHT.Relying strictly on cosmetic procedures for weight loss is lazy & obvious.
I look at her & I see someone who took a shortcut...and it does'nt look healthy.

JHud is the epitome of hotness and class right now. I adore her, especially after all she's been through.

But NB: I've done a little fluctuating in my life and I'm very body conscious - healthy food fat looks WAY better than junk food fat. I would have loved to go to this party. Jennifer Hudson looks great; good for her. She is talented. I know everybody likes to hate on stinky Kesha, but I think she's funny and her songs are catchy. I think that's normal to feel self-conscious: your body changes and you HAVE to be conscious of yourself so you can build a new relationship with it. The clothes you wear, the way you move, and even how people react to you...but get some sleep yo! I almost went certifiable after too many years of sleep-deprivation. And, eventually, it made me start eating really starchy foods for energy.
Yeah especially when every single person I know notices I lost weight and tells me so. The clothing IS an issue, might have to stop wearing pants for a little while as I hate the way it makes my ass (or absence of ass) look.

Jennifer looks okay, but honestly, I thought she look better when she was a bit heavier. She's starting look like all the other Hollywood starlets.
She got lucky (and I mean LUCKY) when she got that Oscar for Dreamgirls. From what I heard, many are NOT happy about her portrayal of Winnie Mandela in an upcoming movie, especially Winnie. It's going to cause a lot of controversey and will not be a must-see movie for even the art house crowd.
She will have a moderate amount of success with her new album, but not come close to the Adele or Lady Caca or Katy Perry numbers. Not with Beyonce getting to roll out her new album.
She's a nice person, but sadly Jennifer is losing her distinctiveness.

We need to stop equating thin with healthy. I don't think being a size 18 is healthy either, but when did people lose all sense of balance and normality? Too thin and too fat = unhealthy. JHud seems to have stopped eating a well portioned meal altogether. She is not naturally thin. She is curvy and her body will not maintain that size without constant exercising and borderline starvation for the rest of her life. If she is willing to do that then kudos to her, but I would argue that this lifestyle choice is not healthy and it is not practical for most people.
Also, remember the days when JHud was at a normal size 12/14 and she said she was happy with her body and loved her curves, blah, blah, the usual stuff curvy celebs say when people ask about their weight? Guess that was a lie too.

OKAY - Stop the negative comments already. If she were big and fat you'd be downing her. J-Hud looks great. Her head looks big now becaue we have to get used to her new face and body. That is natural.
J-Hud definitely lost her weight through diet and exercise. THere is a difference with losing weight with surgery and with a natural slow diet. NOtice Star Jones was hanging all over because her weightloss was drastic because her stomach was smaller. J-Huds Body had the opportunity to adjust itself to the process week after week. If it were surgery, her skin would jiggle and be soft.
Also, you can look back at her transformation. It has been more than a year and we saw her in various sizes - not just a size 22 to a size 10 then a size 4. It's nice to rant on Celebs, but sometimes IGNORANCE is not funny..
I think J-Hud looks great. Better to be healthy and I am happy for her!

and not that there is anything wrong with gastric bypass; however i thought that was normally reserved for people who are morbidly obese. i didn't think she was quite that big to begin with. of course i guess stars with gazillions of dollars can do whatever they want.
my only problem is that she lied about it. i'd rather people be honest about how they got back to being healthy.

Yep. Has to be her. While WW is a great program, I think it works well for 20-30 lbs. I can't imagine the willpower it takes to stay on the program for 60-100 lbs. That's why I think she had surgery.
