So Long Pavarotti!

In case you haven't heard, Luciano Pavarotti passed away at the age of 71 early this morning in his hometown of Modena, Italy. He had been battling pancreatic cancer for sometime.

His manager issued this statement, "The great tenor, Luciano Pavarotti, died today at 5:00 a.m. at his home in Modena, the city of his birth. The Maestro fought a long, tough battle against the pancreatic cancer which eventually took his life. In fitting with the approach that characterized his life and work, he remained positive until finally succumbing to the last stages of his illness."

I actually own a Pavarotti recording! I will listen to this as I picture the old boy being guided by chihuahuas to the afterworld! Seriously, a friend told me in the olden days (like really olden days, like bible times) chihuahuas would take you along the River Jordan or something to your final destination. Those dingbats?! They can't even find their buttholes!

Rest in peace Pavarotti!
