Breaking Up Is Hard To Do

Vanity Fair coverbear and overall hotness, Knut, is 7-month's old and so the Berlin Zoo thinks it's about time he goes solo. Knut and his "adopted mommy" Thomas Doerflein have been entertaining audiences at the zoo twice a day, but their duets have come to an end.

Thomas and Knut have been together since March when Knut's mother rejected him.

Thomas said, "This doesn't mean that I will never play with Knut again; it just means there are no fixed times anymore. I am always there for him. Knut is still a child; he needs me."

I guess the zoo is afraid Knut is going to maul Thomas in public. They'd rather keep the mauling behind closed doors.

Do you think Thomas gave Knut the "it's not you, it's me" speech?
