Scott Weiland Died Of A Coke, Booze And Ecstasy Overdose

Two weeks ago, Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver was found dead on a tour bus in Minnesota. Scott Weiland’s wife Jamie Weiland said at the time that he was sober for a while, but cops found coke in his bedroom on the bus. The bassist for Scott’s band, The Wildabouts, was also arrested for possessing coke. He was released the next day.  The Associated Press says that the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office announced today that Scott Weiland’s death was accidental and he died of a mixture of the bad shit and booze. Scott also had cardiovascular disease and asthma.

TMZ says that specifically, 48-year-old Scott filled his body with coke, alcohol and Ecstasy before he died and those three things carried him to the afterworld where he started a 90s quartet singing group with Kurt Cobain, Shannon Hoon and Layne Staley. They call themselves The Chained Melon Pilots of Nirvana.

And like I do every time I read news about Scott Weiland, I’m off to listen to my 90s grunge playlist while wishing that I still had the bootleg MAROON Docs my mom bought me for Christmas at the swap meet.

The Mother Of Scott Weiland’s Children Asks Everyone To Not Glamorize His Death

Scott Weiland was found dead on his tour bus in Minnesota last week and his cause of death isn’t known right now, but TMZ says he died of cardiac arrest and a few unnamed “legendary musicians” said that he was doing drugs days before his death. Scott’s wife Jamie Weiland slapped at the rumors and said he had been sober for years. As Jamie did that, Scott’s ex-wife and the mother of his kids, Mary Forseberg Weiland, poured her heart out in an open letter that was posted on Rolling Stone. With help from her two teenaged children, Noah and Lucy, Mary wrote about what it was like living with an addict and says she wants people to stop glorifying the deaths of famous people who suffered from addiction. Meanwhile, the Viper Room has opened back up again and their cocktail menu features an amazingly classy drink that’s named after River Phoenix.

So Scott Weiland Performed “Vasoline” The Other Night And….Well…Um…

Since we’re on the subject of painful performances, here’s Scott Weiland putting the “WHY?” in Scott Weiland while slurring out Stone Temples Pilots‘ “Vasoline” during a show with his band the Wildabouts in Corpus Christi, TX on Tuesday night. In the cringe-inducing video below, Scott jokes that they’re going to do a new song they’ve been working on and then he brings the definition of “depressing” to life when he moans out “Vasoline.” He sounds about as coherent as Iggy Azalea after a root canal and he moves like a stoned zombie with a bad hip. It’s like watching a drunk grandpa do spoken word. If you don’t want anymore wrinkles on your face, because that cuntastic How-Old Microsoft APP said you looked about as old as a Lohan, then you better hold your face up while watching. Because you will cringe.

Scott Weiland has a long history with riding shot gun on the Bad Shit Express. But Scott’s rep tells TMZ that he wasn’t high as all fuck during that performance. Scott’s rep admitted that his performance was a mess and blamed it on him being tired and having a couple of drinks beforehand. Scott’s earpiece also went out at one point. So tired + a couple of drinks + no earpiece = that.

Well, on a positive note, that purple velvet blazer sure is pretty. So there’s that.
