Isaiah Washington Resembles Those Remarks About The Toxic Culture On “Grey’s Anatomy”

June 10, 2019 / Posted by:

While he won’t admit it, Isaiah Washington’s personal theme song is Toxic by Britney Spears. Every time his name is uttered or he enters a room, that electric violin “neer, neer, neer, neer” riff comes on over god’s loudspeaker. And he doesn’t even have to actually be named for it to play. When Ellen Pompeo spoke to Variety last week to talk about fair pay and the toxic work environment on the set of Grey’s Anatomy, she never once mentioned Isaiah by name. But at the mere mention of “toxic”, in came those strings, and Isaiah came running. Isaiah #tooktotwitter to defend his honor by accusing Variety of performing “yellow journalism”, and claiming Ellen received a pay-out for keeping quiet about something Patrick Dempsey did. Neer, neer, neer, neer!

Ellen Pompeo Says There Were Some Toxic Years On The “Grey’s Anatomy” Set

June 5, 2019 / Posted by:

Ellen Pompeo was recently interviewed by someone else who is very familiar with on-set drama, Taraji P. Henson, for Variety. Taraji – who will have spent six seasons playing Cookie Lyon on Empire by the time it ends next year – asked Ellen how she managed to clock in every day for 15 seasons. The quick answer would be: a check. But Ellen says there were moments she wanted “off this bus” and says the Grey’s Anatomy of today is way better than when Grey’s Anatomy fist started shooting. Yeah, that’s not exactly a revelation for anyone with any tabloid knowledge of Grey’s early years.

Ellen Pompeo Hinted That Season 16 Of “Grey’s Anatomy” Might Be Its Last

September 23, 2018 / Posted by:

Lllloonnnnggg-running ABC mainstay Grey’s Anatomy is about to begin its 15th season and the HDIC (head doctor in charge) Ellen Pompeo hinted to EW (via Deadline) that its next season might be its last. I would hope so! How is this show still on? Didn’t MVP Sandra Oh leave awhile back? Didn’t they run over Dr. McDreamy (Patrick Dempsey) with a truck and kill off Dr. McSteamy (Eric Dane) in a plane crash? And they dumped the lesbians, right? For shame. Debbie Allen is an icon but even she shouldn’t have to hold this disaster-prone hospital together for more than, say, 10 years, right?

Ellen Pompeo Says Her “Grey’s Anatomy” Salary Didn’t Get Jessica Capshaw And Sarah Drew Fired

March 22, 2018 / Posted by:

Earlier this month, it was reported that two doctors from Grey’s Anatomy had been asked to turn in their pretend ID badges and leave Grey-Sloan Memorial. Jessica Capshaw (Dr. Arizona Robbins) and Sarah Drew (Dr. April Kepner) didn’t get their contracts renewed, and Deadline heavily implied it might have been because ABC was running low on money after giving $20 million to Ellen Pompeo. A very pissed Ellen shot back, saying there was absolutely no truth to it. Ellen appeared on Ellen today, and reiterated her raise isn’t the reason why Jessica and Sarah were let go.

Ellen Pompeo Hit At Deadline For Insinuating Her Salary Increase Was A Factor In Two Cast Members Getting Chopped

March 9, 2018 / Posted by:

Deadline is taking some heat for a recent article reporting that Grey’s Anatomy is losing two regular cast members after the current 14th season. Deadline reported that both Jessica Capshaw, who’s been on that bitch for 10 seasons playing Dr. Arizona Robbins, and Sarah Drew, who’s played Dr. April Kepner for 9 seasons, didn’t get their contracts renewed. The story itself was not controversial but Deadline’s reporting has been interpreted by some as sexist for insinuating that Grey’s star Ellen Pompeo’s fat checks were a factor.

Ellen Pompeo Is Getting Paid A Grip No Thanks To Patrick Dempsey

January 17, 2018 / Posted by:

In case you didn’t know, Ellen Pompeo is that bitch. She recently signed an insane deal to become the highest paid woman in dramatic television. She’s on a little show called Grey’s Anatomy which I will admit to still watching after 14 seasons. And that’s real seasons as in years, not one of Tyra’s little cycles. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter (which is worth a full read), Ellen talks about the long, hard road she walked to get more than$20 million a year. You won’t be surprised to learn that is was no thanks to Patrick Dempsey.
