Denise Richards Defends Buying Her Teen Daughter A Mercedes After She Snuck Out And Crashed Her Other Car

Denise Richards isn’t a regular mom. She’s a cool mom. Or, at the very least, a deeply trusting L.A. mom. Case in point: Page Six reports that, on today’s episode of SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live (“I never miss it” –Satan), 51-year-old Denise admitted that she bought her daughter, Lola Sheen, a new Mercedes after the 17-year-old snuck out one night and “totaled” her Volkswagen. But Denise says Lola wasn’t actually driving, she was just covering for her friend (sure, Lola). And, actually, the Mercedes is “very safe.” Um, tell that to Janis Joplin. One minute she’s singing about wanting a Mercedes; the next minute she’s dead!

When Denise told Jeff Lewis and his pals that she bought Lola a Mercedes, co-host Megan Weaver snorted and said, “You’re gonna get dragged for this, Denise. Just telling you right now.” Denise defended herself, explaining that she got her daughter a very safe car, “like a sedan,” cuz of a “situation with a different car that she had.” After some prodding, Denise admitted that Lola’s friend wrecked the other car, and “that is a scary phone call to get in the middle of the night.” Denise explained that Lola wasn’t supposed to be out, “she snuck out.” She added that “the car was totaled, no one was hurt, thank the Lord.” Then Denise smiled and said, “But she protected the person driving, and I knew she wasn’t driving.” 

Denise says she wanted to scream at Lola, but she was grateful that no one was hurt. She explains the girls were “going down a canyon, and one little thing could have flipped them over the edge.” Denise says the police were “so wonderful” and informed them that there was a car accident in that area every weekend, and “a lot of kids don’t survive it, so it scared the fucking shit out of her.” The highway patrol confirmed Denise’s story. via Page Six:

Page Six confirmed in June 2022 that Lola had been involved in a car accident, with the California Highway Patrol saying the 17-year-old crashed into an embankment while attempting to navigate a windy road late at night.

“Nobody was taken to the hospital, but the minor driver complained of a headache after the collision,” a police spokesperson told us at the time.

Lola’s accident isn’t even the most recent Sheen-Richards driving drama. In November, Denise and her husband, Aaron Phypers, were shot at in a scary road rage incident. Damn, L.A., you’re one terrifying place!

Listen, I don’t have kids, so who am I to criticize Denise’s parenting style? She wants to buy Lola a Mercedes-Benz after she snuck out in the middle of the night and got into a wreck? Sure. Collaborate with her other daughter, 18-year-old Sami Sheen, on OnlyFans? Hey, to each their own! For all we know, Charlie Sheen is the disciplinarian in that family. Actually, that is a truly bone-chilling thought… way scarier than any car accident.
