Open Post: Hosted By The Cat Who Destroyed A $27 Pizza

There are two things most people can agree on: cats are cute, and pizza is great. But what happens when a cat and a pizza collide? The result is a viral video where a furry friend named Lucas obliterates America’s favorite bastardized Italian dish. To make matters worse, the pizza cost $27. I hope Lucas put in a replacement order on Uber Eats because IN THIS ECONOMY, we can’t afford to lose even one pizza!

Lucas was caught on tape, and his human shared the woeful tail of the deceased cheesy bread on Reddit. The video begins with a devastating shot of the pizza and its ingredients strewn across the floor. The camera then pans to Lucas, who clearly gives no fucks about his actions. Newsweek caught up with his human to understand why Lucas would commit something so heinous.

The owner told Newsweek: “He must have gotten on the table without us looking and knocked it down with his paw.”

He added: “He definitely ate some. He was licking his lips prior to the video.”

In the video, Lucas sits nonplussed looking at the mess on the floor after he ruined his owner’s meal.

Some commenters applauded the cat’s actions, while others bemoaned the demise of a nearly $30 pizza. Although dinner was ruined, the redditor had a sense of humor about the incident.

But despite Lucas’s actions, his owner could still see the funny side. “I shared because he’s a funny cat, although this was bad behavior on his part,” he said.

We’ll never understand what Lucas’s ground beef was, but I do want to know what happened to dinner. Did they get a cat-based refund? Did they order another cheese supreme? Did they apply the 5-second rule? If it was me, I can’t honestly say I wouldn’t eat that floor pizza.
