Open Post: Hosted By Anna, The Bra-Obsessed Cat

Scary news out of California: there’s a cat burglar on the loose! The fugitive, a grey British shorthair, goes by the name Anna. Anna’s modus operandi is stealing all the bras. But Anna doesn’t see it as theft. She sees it as… re-gifting. She takes the bras from her humans’ bedrooms, and delivers it to them in other parts of the house. “Here, put this on. Your tits are down to your knees.”

Anna’s humans are married couple Sarah and Gabriel. Sarah tells LaughingSquid that Anna is particularly obsessed with bras that belong to their roommate, Audrey. These gift deliveries (I still say it’s a crime!) began with plastic bags. Anna eventually branched out to other loose objects before graduating to bra theft. Sarah says that Anna has her “normal rotation of items,” but sometimes she’ll “throw something new in there.” Make-up bags, stuffed animals, gloves, socks, paper towels, Christmas stockings, basically anything Anna can fit in her little mouth!

Sarah and Gabriel adopted Anna from a shelter in 2016. At first, she was “well-mannered,” but as soon as she realized she “gets to go wherever she wants,” she became Queen of the Castle. Gabriel calls her an “attention seeker,” who has to let everyone know when she enters the room. Hence the constant gifts and accompanying “Meoooows!!!” Here’s The Dodo’s video about Anna. You can also follow her exploits on Sarah’s TikTok page:

Maybe Anna is trying to tell her humans that they’re wearing the wrong-sized bra. Like, 90% of women are wearing the wrong size, right? Clearly, Anna has a sixth sense (like dogs and earthquakes) when people are wearing ill-fitting bras. “Bitch, throw this 32D in the trash. It’s time to face the truth… you’re a 34C!”
