Adele Finally Announces The Rescheduled Dates For Her Las Vegas Residency

July 25, 2022 / Posted by:

Back in January, Adele postponed her Las Vegas residency, Weekends with Adele, one day before it was supposed to open. Fans were Someone Like You-levels of sad and/or Set Fire to the Rain-levels of pissed. At first, Adele blamed the cancellation on COVID-19 restrictions, but, in the months that followed, we got reports that it was due to drama with the show’s set designer and Caesar’s Palace. Today, six months after the initial cancellation, Adele took to social media to finally announce the residency’s new dates: 24 rescheduled shows plus 8 new shows will run from November 18, 2022 to March 25, 2023. Despite reports that the residency would be moving to Planet Hollywood, it will remain at the Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace. Weekends with Adele ticket holders: re-book those flights and hotels! But make sure everything comes with the following “Adele clause”: “buyer will receive a full refund if this bitch gets another case of the last-minute-cancellies.”

On Instagram, Adele expressed her happiness about the rescheduled shows:

Variety explains how getting tickets will work:

A select number of tickets will be available across all 32 performances. There will be two opportunities to purchase tickets for these shows. Access will be limited with priority given to fans who held tickets for the original show dates or had previously registered and been waitlisted for the “Weekends With Adele” Verified Fan Presale. Eligible fans will receive an email invitation from Ticketmaster on Wednesday, August 3.

Hmmm, I’m sure it’ll all go off without a hitch and nobody will get screwed over again. You know, I genuinely feel bad for all the fans who got cancelled on in January. Hundreds of people from all over the world had already flown into Vegas when Adele announced there would be no show. What were they supposed to do, stranded in Vegas? Get wasted? Gamble away their life savings? Go see Whitney Houston’s hologram? For us non-celebrity poors, re-arranging your life for a trip or concert is a big fucking deal! I mean, to be fair, Adele can relate to some degree. The poor gal can’t even afford a mansion in London.
