Open Post: Hosted By A Bird Dancing To Cascada’s “Every Time We Touch”

Babies. Animals. Drunk adults at 3 AM. We all love a good dance, whether you’re rhythmically challenged or not. Shaking your ass is one of those God-given rights that I’m pretty certain is guaranteed by the US constitution. A bird decided to exercise this right by showing off her one, two-step on TikTok. The song of choice? The 2000s dance classic Every Time We Touch by Cascada. A bird of taste and class, I see!

TikTok user David Holt captured his cockatoo’s dancing queen skills on video and shared it on the social media platform, presumably to show the children how it’s done. via Newsweek:

The video shared by TikToker David Holt (@djskorpios) had 7.9 million views and 1.4 million likes at the time of writing.

The clip begins with a bird being placed on a bathroom sink, as the dance song begins playing in the background.

It then starts moving its head rhythmically, as a message on the video reads: “I definitely got this one.”

As the song enters its chorus, a message reads: “Wait, did we switch tempos?” The bird stops moving briefly at one point, as the message “Just give me a sec [second],” appears on the screen before the bird bops along again to the music. A message then reads: “Ok I got it now.”

Here’s the highly talented bird in action:

I was just at a wedding party and there are a few moves from this bird that I’m certain some of the guests were doing. So, being honest, that parrot is a bit off tempo. I suppose that’ll happen when your bird dad just plops you onto the bathroom sink and starts playing a decades-old club hit. David can be heard singing in the background and explained to commenters he does that to help his bird find the rhythm. Suuuuure, David! Rather than hearing her dad sing, maybe the bird just needed a little swig of liquid confidence to really get into it. Personally, it’s the only way I can manage to make it through a Cascada song!
