Lauren Graham And Peter Krause Split Up After Over A Decade Together
Cupids everywhere are taking to their LinkedIn accounts today to update their profiles to let everyone know that their job as a “true love influencer” is over after a zillion years in the game and it’s all because of the fact that Lauren Graham and Peter Krause have split up. Lauren and Peter were together for over 10 years, and while they mostly kept things on the shush, her rep has popped up to announce that they broke up last year.
55-year-old Lauren Graham and 56-year-old Peter Krause first met and became friendly in 1995 after working together on Caroline In The City. But they didn’t get romantical until years upon years later when they co-starred as brother and sister on Parenthood, which ran from 2010 to 2015. They did a few red carpets together and he guest-starred on Netflix’s Gilmore Girls revival a few years ago. But now they’re done. via People:
The Gilmore Girls alum’s rep confirmed the breakup news to PEOPLE exclusively, noting that Graham, 55, and Krause, 56, “quietly ended their relationship last year.”
Although Graham and Krause only graced a few red carpets together and preferred to keep their relationship out of the public eye, they both had been vocal about one another during interviews and talk show appearances.
Lauren’s rep says that they split last year. Well, last year, Lauren was a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and talked about how she and Peter were apart for 5 months because of the pandemic. During the pandemic in the fall of 2020, Lauren was in Vancouver shooting Disney+’s The Mighty Ducks series. And usually, when she’s shooting in Vancouver, she can pop down to L.A. on the weekends, but Coronavirus kept her from doing that. So she didn’t return home until filming was finished and she walked into an unknown land where Peter and his 20-year-old son Roman from another relationship, had created their own rules. That unknown land also contained a new place called COVID Corner, which was made up of all the stuff that Peter hoarded from Target, or wherever. via People:
“It was more like they were the married couple … they were like, ‘We don’t do it that way anymore’ in the kitchen or whatever. They were like, ‘No, no, no, this is how things happen,’ ” Graham recalled.
The actress also explained Krause’s latest addition to their home: the “COVID Corner.”
“Peter started a thing, I guess to make COVID life fun, where he’d go to the store and stock up on ridiculous amounts of whatever and leave it in the corner of the living room and then he’d call it ‘COVID corner’ as if that somehow made these piles of stuff fun, or a place to visit or a place to show the guests,” she shared.
“He’d be like ‘Hey guys, have you seen ‘COVID corner?’ And I was like ‘It’s not an amusement park,'” she teased.
Listen, during the early days of the pandemic, some of us dealt with shit by crying into the sourdough starter we bought thinking we were actually going to make sourdough bread, and others constructed a kingdom of paper towels in the corner of their house. But if I walked into my house after being away and saw that my man changed the way things were done and built Marjory The COVID Essentials Heap in my living room, I’d turn around and walk out the exit door. But I’d grab a thing of toilet paper and bottles of Lysol first because that shit’s expensive.
