Open Post: Hosted By The Cat Who Won’t Stop Sneaking Into The Fridge
As a person who spends time next to cats, I am aware that they are truly weird. They’re well known for squeezing into things like drawers or boxes. Yet some cats are too good for the humble refrigerator box and opt for going straight into the fridge itself! Such is the case of Grayson Martin’s cat Trevor who developed a habit of jumping directly into the fridge whenever the door opens. Finally, a cat after my own heart!
Grayson noticed that her cat wouldn’t stop occupying the fridge and after trying to stop the frigid feline from doing this, she turned to Reddit for some advice. via Newsweek:

The owner shared a picture of the scene to popular Subreddit “Cats” where they pleaded for advice on how to stop it happening.
“Any advice on how to stop my cat from hopping in the fridge every time I open it?? He does this every time,” they noted in the post. In just two days, the post has gained over 35,000 votes.
“For context,” noted the owner. “We don’t have any open food in there, he just likes to lie down in the fridge. Is he too hot? Our apartment is at 68 degrees all the time.”
The responses range from “my cat does that too” to “cats are weird, deal with it!” Grayson has taken the advice provided by the commentariat but, so far, there’s been no success in getting Trevor out of there. He’s apparently still “enjoying the fridge.” Grayson shared in the Reddit thread that Trevor only likes to lie down inside and doesn’t eat anything since there’s no open food. So based on all the information provided, my conclusion is that Trevor is just a little weirdo. He simply wants to be next to recently opened cartons of juice and yesterday’s Red Lobster leftovers. To be fair to lil Trevor, that’s all I want to do. What better location than a cool environment filled with food? Jam a pillow in there and you’re golden!
