Courteney Cox Once Again Talks About “Looking Really Strange” After Getting Fillers

Back in 2016, Courteney Cox admitted that she regretted some of her cosmetic procedures, and the following year she claimed she was filler-free. Now the 57-year-old is once again opening up about her former face fuckery in an interview with The Times. Courteney says that there was a time when she was chasing her youth, and she didn’t realize how strange all the cosmetic procedures made her look. To quote Bizarro Monica Geller: “I (didn’t) know!”

via New York Post:

“There was a time when you go, ‘Oh, I’m changing. I’m looking older.’ And I tried to chase that [youthfulness] for years,” the “Scream” actress continued. “And I didn’t realize that, oh shit, I’m actually looking really strange with injections and doing stuff to my face that I would never do now.”

Once she saw that the public was talking about her look, she said that a time came when she realized she had “to stop. That’s just crazy.”

Here’s a reminder of what Courteney looked like in full filler mode:

Courteney also talked about still feeling young in her fifties. She says that she has a lot of friends in their thirties, and she feels the same age as them “until I actually study it.” She says she’s a little shocked that she’s actually turning 60 in three years:

“Oh God, it’s so hard to even hear or say. I can’t believe it. There’s nothing wrong with being 60, I just can’t believe it. Time goes so fast. There’s no question that I am more grounded, I’ve learned so much in my life — what to enjoy, what to try to do more of and what to let go of.”

She also got into Matthew Perry. At last year’s Friends reunion, 52-year-old Matthew admitted that he’d “freak out” if one of Chandler’s lines didn’t get a laugh. Courteney says Matthew “struggled for a while,” but, “I think he’s doing great now.” She adds that he clearly relied on laughs for his own self-worth.

Matthew’s got a new memoir coming out in November. It’s called Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing. Oo, what’s the big terrible thing? The Joey and Rachel romance? According to a source who spoke to Us Weekly, this book ain’t gonna sugarcoat shit:

“He’ll delve into his addictions, of course, plus clear up rumors about his feelings for the Friends costars. Plus, he’ll discuss what went wrong in a number of his past relationships,” the insider teases. “It wasn’t always a bed of roses for Matthew on and off the Friends set, and Matt isn’t going to sugarcoat the tougher times that he went through with the cast. He’ll also discuss what it was like at the reunion, both good and bad.”

The source adds that the book isn’t going to be “salacious or mean, just totally honest.” Well, if Courteney’s opening up about aging and Matthew’s talking about his addiction, it’s high time Matt LeBlanc dishes on the baseball-playing chimpanzee from the 1996 stinker, Ed. Word on the street is he ate his own feces.
