Open Post: Hosted By The Cat Who Plays In A Baby Bouncer

Cats are tiny weirdos. Buy them that $45 motorized feather wand that spins around under a piece of fabric, and they’ll avoid it like the plague. But drop an elastic band on the floor, and they’ll be entertained for the rest of their days.

Yesterday, a kitty named Meep went viral after falling in love with a toy that was clearly not meant for him. Reddit user SpookyPie20 posted a video (via Newsweek) of the little grey-and-white cat sitting and playing in a baby bouncer, with the caption, “My kitten uses the bouncer more than my kid. His name is Meep and does this on his own…even at 3 a.m.” Um, to be fair, the instructions for the bouncer did not specify that the baby has to be human!

Here’s the auto-play video, and CUTE ALERT, there are toe beans present:

Meep clearly enjoys the dangling red bird and convenient leg/tail holes. Can you blame him? After a tough day of sleeping 16 whole hours, he needs to blow off some steam. And in another comment, SpookyPie20 writes that she doesn’t need to place Meep in the bouncer, he does it all on his own. She says he “just decided to try it one day and does it constantly.” When reached for comment, SpookyPie20’s actual human child said, “Now every time I use the damn bouncer, my diaper gets covered in cat hair. This means WAR.”
