Open Post: Hosted By Paris Hilton’s $61,000 Wedding Registry

Whenever someone I know gets married and they inform me about where they’re registered for gifts, I say “That’s nice” then head over to CVS to get them a $50 gift card. But I assume that most people’s registries contain items they need for their house, and the prices are somewhat reasonable. However, these same rules don’t apply to Paris Hilton. Since she’s getting married soon to Carter Reum, she has a wedding registry with Gearys Beverly Hills. But if her wedding guests are anything like me, they took one look at what she wants, burst out laughing, and sent in their RSVPs with the words “HELL! NO!” in all caps. Because the total for her registry comes in at over $61,000. I know, only $61,000. Paris is being very frugal IN THIS ECONOMY.

E! News reports that the items Paris is requesting have little to do with sensibility and come off more like a shakedown for other rich people to buy her all of the shit she doesn’t want to pay for herself.

Among the essentials that will be stocking her kitchen are a walnut Christofle MOOD Party Tray ($985), Buccellati Dahlia flower-shaped dish ($650), William Yeoward Crystal Caprice caviar server ($1,000), Baccarat champagne glass set ($990) and Christofle champagne cooler ($860) to match.

But wait, there’s more. Paris is also requesting an Hermes dish set that costs almost $10,000, a Baccarat crystal vase totaling $4,885, and a Baccarat crystal bear figurine that costs $370. And this is how I know she’s using this opportunity to rack up all the free shit she can because why the hell does she need a damn crystal bear? Does he magically come to life and help her in the kitchen? I kinda wish I could go to her wedding with the box the figurine comes in and when she opens it all, she’ll see a note that reads “Bitch please!” as I run out the front door before security can catch me.

If you care, stroll on over to her registry here and take a look for yourself.
