Storm, the weather report-crashing dog!
Watching the news during the pandemic has been more depressing than your date canceling on you after you’ve already douched and trimmed your crotch bush. But there have been some sparks of happiness here and there. Example: all of the furry spotlight stealers who have crashed their human meteorologist’s weathercast. There’s been Brody from Florida and Betty the Weathercat from Indiana. And now there’s Toronto’s very own Storm who blew in like a gust of AWWW into his human’s weather report and easily snatched up the show.
The truth is, Storm is a TV veteran. Storm’s human is meteorologist Anthony Farnell who does the weather for Global News Toronto. Anthony has been taking Storm to his job for years so Storm has regularly been a special guest star on Global Toronto’s reports. Storm made his TV debut in 2012 when Storm stormed the set and popped up like, “This show could use some more pizzazz in the form of ME!“, during a report from Leslie Roberts. Behold, a star being born!
Storm has popped up in broadcasts throughout the year and even has his own Instagram page. But I learned of Storm when a video he was in went viral over the weekend. Anthony was doing the weather on Friday when Storm sashayed on in like he owns the place (and he does! Check the deed!). Storm moseyed onto the green screen to eat up some treats left on the floor and at one point he looked like he was walking all over North America. “Been around the world and I, I, I, I can’t find a Snausage” is probably what Storm is singing to himself in this clip:
