Brody, the adorable ball of fluffy attention whore-ness who stole the show from his human!
Last month, I made Betty the weathercat HSOTD after she made an appearance in her human’s weather reports for a local news station, and she easily became my favorite meteorologist. But well, along came Brody who showed the world that Betty ain’t the only ball of spotlight-stealing fluff whose name begins with a B and ends with a Y!
Paul Dellegatto, a meteorologist for Fox 13 in Tampa Bay, FL, is currently doing his weathercast from the studio. But last month, he did them from home and many viewers are probably wishing he’d go back to doing them at home, because nearly every day they got a giant shot of true STAH POWER! Fox 13 says that Paul’s golden retriever crashed his weathercast nearly every day, because who in the hell gives a shit about the weather when there are more important things to tend to: like giving Brody attention.
Fox 13 put out this clip of Brody jumping into the shot and getting all on Paul’s laptop before yawning at his human’s boring report. Paul lets Brody know that they’re going to eat after work before dismissing Brody, but sorry Paul. You don’t dismiss Brody, Brody dismisses you! Brody wasn’t done with the foolery and tried to get to Craig, the cameraman who was social distancing while filming from the porch. Here’s just one of Brody’s star-making turns!
And about that cute picture of what looks like Brody on Paul’s desk. That’s a different golden retriever, who is now in heaven. I know, not all golden retrievers look the same (actually they kind of do)!!!
Sharp-eyed observers noted a photo of a golden retriever on Paul’s desk at home, but it’s not Brody. That’s Sparky, another Really Good Boy who passed away a year ago at almost 12 years old.
Since Brody has become a fan favorite, I’m sure soon Fox 13 viewers will turn on the news and find Brody sitting there, slobbering in front of the camera as the new meteorologist. And he’ll still be more accurate than many!
