Lil Nas X Says He’s Found “The One”
Lil Nas X has fallen in love, y’all! And, as far as we know, it’s not with the sexy Satan demon he gives a lap dance to in the video for Montero (Call Me By Your Name). As far as we know. 22-year-old Nas let the big news slip in a new interview with Variety. He says he’s been seeing “someone special” who he thinks is “the one.” Now, my nose lets out involuntary snorts any time a young person announces they’ve found their soulmate (especially when it’s a celebrity), but, hey, maybe it’s really true love! Crazier things have happened. For example, Nas riding a stripper pole down to hell. That was pretty crazy.
Lil Nas X told Variety that he started seeing his first real boyfriend at the age of 18. That’s around the same time he finally accepted his sexuality. He says:
“I’ve had some good boyfriends and some bad ones. A lot of them were emotionally unavailable or had a lot of insecurity and whatnot.” But “I’ve found someone special now,” he reveals. “I think this is the one. I can’t explain it — it’s just a feeling.”
Nas didn’t name his mystery man, but there’s speculation that he’s in a relationship with his Colombian-born backup dancer, Yai Ariza. Yai is the one who licked Nas’ neck on SNL and kissed him during his performance at the BET Awards:

Neither Nas nor Yai has confirmed their relationship. They’re probably orchestrating the perfect couple debut (via sexy dancing) on live television.
