Because 21-year-old Lil Nas X released the video for his new song, Montero (Call Me By Your Name), and there’s a gay snake kiss, a pole dance to Hell, and Lil Nas X giving Satan a lap dance. And they thought that a wet pussy was the “corrosion” of an “empire.” Enter: homosexual thrusting on Satan’s lap.
Directed by Tanu Muino and Lil Nas X himself, Montero tells the story of an Adam/Eve type who hooks up with a snake and goes to Hell. Essentially. Just like with his Holiday music video, Lil Nas X is serving some high-camp. Liberace? Deceased. Elton John? Scalped. Sure, his seductive snake man sort of looks like a cross between Voldemort and Megamind, but apart from that, he’s killing it. Check out these denim looks and his pink wig. The absolute best part of the video is when Lil Nas X is ascending up to Heaven but just before he can get up there, a stripper pole rises from below and Lil Nas X transforms into Him from Powerpuff Girls and he rides that shit straight down to HELL!
Next comes the lap dance for Satan which is going to get people angry, but hey, they need to watch to the end. Because Lil Nas X then snaps Satan’s neck and assumes power! So like, it’s a good thing! We should teach all children to aspire to overthrow the lord of Hell, don’t you think?
