Britney Spears Isn’t Sure If She’ll Ever Take The Stage Again
39-year-old Britney Spears has been a pop star since she was 16, but she’s been laying low for several years now. And in a new Instagram Q&A, Britney revealed that she isn’t sure if she’s ever going to go back to doing shows because she’s “enjoying herself.” And good for her, because when she’s not frolicking around her home or with her boyfriend, Britney is busy in court fighting with her dad, Jamie Spears, over her long-standing conservatorship. Which will see Britney in court next week. Yas! It’s time for Britney to “show us how you want it to be, Tell us, baybay, ’cause we need to know now, oh, because!”
This week #BritneySpeaks was trending online because the #FreeBritney stans were trying to get us all hyped for her testimony next week. Forbes says that on June 23, Britney will appear virtually during a court hearing on June 23rd about her conservatorship and she’s expected to testify. Britney has been trying to get her father removed from her conservatorship completely, and considering how her lawyer has previously said Britney is afraid of him and will never perform again so long as he’s involved, it’s gonna be interesting to see what she finally says about her dad in her own words.
And she seems to be done with performing for now, as People says that Britney took to Instagram to answer a few questions sent to her from fans. Always a risk when your fans think that your father is controlling your social media. Among her answers, Britney revealed once again that she isn’t sure if she will ever flip her hair and wave her arms to Toxic on a stage ever again:
“Okay, so I hear you guys have been writing in and I’m here to answer all of your questions. The first of many questions you guys have been asking me is what’s my favorite business trip that I ever took.”
“My favorite business trip was probably a trip to Italy,” Spears continued, explaining that Donatella Versace had flown her there for a stay in the fashion designer’s “beautiful villa.”
“It was beautiful. She fined and dined us,” she recalled. (Spears noted in the post’s caption that she “know it’s WINE and DINE … I was antsy OK”)
“Huge fashion shows,” the pop star remembered. “It was really, really fun.”
Next, Spears answered an inquiry about her shoe size, telling fans that she wears a size 7.
For the third and final question, Spears addressed whether she is “ready to take the stage again.”
“Am I going to take the stage? Will I ever take the stage again?” she asked, before answering, “I have no idea.”
“I’m having fun right now,” Spears explained. “I’m in a transition in my life and I’m enjoying myself, so that’s it.”
