Mark Ronson Has Confirmed That He’s Engaged To Grace Gummer

Last month, actress and famous person’s child Grace Gummer was seen strolling around London with music producer Mark Ronson on her right hand and a giant diamond ring on her left, and naturally, everyone assumed that engagement-looking ring was an engagement ring. Mark recently confirmed that the ring is exactly what it looked like, and he’s about to become Meryl Streep’s son-in-law. Wait, Son in Law…was she in that movie? No, of course not – that was Pauly Shore (a common mix-up).

45-year-old Mark broke the news on a recent episode of his podcast, The FADER Uncovered. His guest was the band Tame Impala, and he claimed that his and 35-year-old Grace’s first kiss happened while listening to Tame Impala’s debut album. via People magazine:

“I got engaged last weekend,” Ronson said during the podcast episode with Tame Impala.

The musician said he and his now-fiancée shared their first kiss while listening to Tame Impala’s debut album InnerSpeaker.

“There’s a plaque for that somewhere. There’s a first kiss, very corny Hallmark first kiss plaque,” he said. “But no, it was forever, it will be etched. It’s still my record.”

Mark and Grace have been dating for a little less than a year. This will be the second marriage for both of them. Grace was married to David Straithairn’s son Tay Strathairn for 42 days in 2019. Mark was married to Joséphine de La Baume from 2011 to 2018. But enough about Mark and Grace. What about Meryl?! However does Meryl prepare for the role of mother-in-law? What should Mark expect? Well, probably nothing too crazy. Yes, Meryl is literally one of the most famous and critically acclaimed actresses on the planet, but she doesn’t really give off unapproachable, monster-in-law energy in the least. I’d say she even seems pretty normal. But who knows? I could be wrong – maybe Meryl is actually a secret MIL terror (she is the greatest actress of her generation, after all). Maybe during wedding planning, Meryl will urge Mark to use his Oscar, which he got for co-writing Shallow from A Star Is Born, as a decoration on the cake table. And then she’ll follow that up with a passive-aggressive suggestion that if he’s scared of getting buttercream and crumbs all over his ONE Oscar, he could surely borrow one of hers. “I’ve got three. Do you want The Iron Lady or Kramer vs. Kramer? It’s a real Sophie’s Choice! I have one for that film too, you know.
