Will Smith Is Getting Fit For A YouTube Series

May 5, 2021 / Posted by:

The other day Will Smith posted a photo of his perfectly plump pandemic pooch and captioned it, “I’m in the worst shape of my life.” Relatable. Well, it turns out that was a “before” pic, cuz Will just announced he’s filming a YouTube series where he gets back in the “BEST SHAPE OF MY LIFE!!!!!” And it’s called… wait for it… Best Shape of My Life. Errr, less relatable.

The six-part docuseries will premiere next year. It will follow (via People):

“…Smith challenging himself to improve every aspect of his fitness, from agility to power to recovery and more, teaming up with guests including pro athletes, scientists and experts, and top YouTube creators.”

52-year-old Will posted another picture of his pandy-bod to the ‘gram (set to the Pussycat Dolls’ seminal 2005 hit Don’t Cha, and captioned it:

This is the body that carried me through an entire pandemic and countless days grazing thru the pantry. I love this body, but I wanna FEEL better. No more midnight muffins…this is it! Imma get in the BEST SHAPE OF MY LIFE!!!!! Teaming up with @YouTube to get my health & wellness back on track. Hope it works!

Um, I’m sure it will, Will. Cuz you probably have a team of personal trainers scrambling to sculpt you back into shape.

Will also posted vids of fit people doing crazy fitness shit (it looks like the first guy is trying to slam his way to the center of the Earth?), and shared that he’s starting with the elliptical:

It looks like Will has inspired other people to get fit too. He posted some of his fan’s “before” pics, told them their “afters” are due in 12 weeks, and coined it the #bigwilliechallenge:

At this point, YouTube money and the threat of public failure are the only things that could get me to exercise and eat better. And even then, I think I’d scam my way out of doing the work. Kardashian girdles, faulty scales for weigh-ins, duct-taping back rolls of fat… anything and everything except breaking an actual sweat.
