Open Post: Hosted By Yung Joc’s Fake Beard

April 1, 2021 / Posted by:

Tyra Banks‘ influence continues to haunt inspire society, as rapper Yung Joc revealed that he had decided to get a beard weave. Like an America’s Next Top Model contestant against their will, Joc had his face framed with glued-on hair and now we get to bear witness to the horrors of a fake beard.

Yung Joc has been a style icon in the past and has rocked dresses before. But while I love a man in a dress, I do not love fake pubes on a face. Complex says that 37-year-old Yung Joc’s beard was first revealed to us by Atlanta-based barber, Scooby Cutz, when he posted photos and video of the fake facial hair:

Surely, one could assume such a thing was an April Fools’ joke considering the day, but Joc also revealed the look on his JocLive show where he got a… I guess you would call it a touch-up?

Apparently, this is nothing new and people have been getting beard weaves for the last 10-ish years (ANTM really did start the ball off). People on the Internet reacted with kindness as usual:

But Yung Joc doesn’t think your little Twitter jokes are funny. He suggested in a later video that he got the look for an acting gig. A Tyler Perry production, I can only assume.

“Y’all act like I don’t be in little movies and shit like that … I wanted a beard, hell. Y’all got a problem with my beard? I don’t give a shit if I look crazy or not. This ain’t like I’m wearing this shit like it’s me. Y’all know I don’t grow no facial hair … I’m not doing this for a chick. I’m getting paid to play a part, a role … I don’t care if it don’t look right … At the end of the day, I troll this shit out of y’all.”

He trolled us by making us make fun of him. See how that works? We’re the suckers!

Listen, I’m not judging Yung Joc because he got a fake beard. It’s 2021! People can do what they want!  Hopefully, this inspires people like Justin Bieber to quit trying to grow facial hair when they can’t and embrace the beard weave instead. RIP Struggle Staches, Beard Weaves are here to save the day!
