April Fools? Michael Strahan Closed The Famous Gap In His Teeth

There has never been a time in my life where I’ve looked at Michael Strahan‘s gap and thought to myself  “Is that the Grand Canyon?” because his smile has always been a part of his charm. Unless you ask Kelly Ripa, who I’m sure wouldn’t mind giving him a few more gaps in his teeth by punching him in the face. But I digress, when you think of Michael you think of that gap. Well, Michael’s gap has gone on to glory. Or has it just gone into hiding until April 2nd?

Page Six reports that Michael has been vacillating for many years between whether or not he should close the gap we all know and love, and I honestly never thought he cared about it since we see Michael’s teeth more than the one on the damn Smiley emoji. Michael claims he sought assistance from Dr. Lee Gause of Smile Design Manhattan. Yes, write that down. Dr. Lee Gause, a man who shall forever be known as the person who ruined the hopes and dreams of every gap-toothed kid in America that once looked up to Michael.

Strahan knew he would get some backlash for the decision, and even listed all the people he expected would disapprove — including his followers, friends, business partners and family.

But ultimately, the former NFL player said, “I gotta do what I wanna do for myself.”

Revealing the final result, which he said was “50 years in the making,” the footballer was left nearly speechless.

“I love it, holy fuck!,” he exclaimed, laughing giddily.

Here’s the video of the moment Michael made a decision that should have caused Jennifer Grey to twirl into the office and scream, “DON’T DO THIS!”

Those teeth scare the hell outta me. Like, why are they so white? What the hell kind of magic caulk and paint did they use to achieve this? Why would I still hit it? The answer to the last question is “Because I’m a hoe“, but for the first two questions I have no clue.

And speaking of being confused, many people on Twitter were not happy with Michael’s decision to start Halloween early by transforming himself into a creepy game show host with glow-in-the-dark teeth.

In 2012, Michael told Elle Magazine that he would NEVAH EVAH get rid of his gap because it’s a part of who he is. Well just like Santa Claus and The Easter Bunny, that was a lie. Or maybe not. Like I mentioned above, April Fool’s Day is tomorrow and this could be a prank, which I’m hoping it is. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to seeing Michael look like a skeevy lounge singer ready to woo you out your drawls with that bright-ass smile. Or maybe I would like it? I’m so confused.
