Tiger Woods Has Been Released From The Hospital

If I could go back in time, I might zip back three weeks to February 23rd, and tell myself that I could un-clench my jaw and stop bracing myself for the worst. Because that was the day Tiger Woods rolled his vehicle in a single-car collision and was extracted from his on-loan SUV by first responders. It didn’t look great at the time, but a few weeks later, things are apparently good enough for Tiger that he’s been released from the hospital and he’s back at home.

Tiger had been recovering in the hospital from major surgery to his leg, ankle, and foot, all of which got seriously torn the hell up after he was found in his 2021 Genesis GV80 SUV near Ranchos Palos Verdes, CA. Tiger released a statement yesterday about his recovery, and he’s recovering at home:

TMZ notes that Tiger was originally rushed to Harbor-UCLA, where he received trauma care, with doctors stabilizing his body and operating on his leg, ankle, and foot. He was later moved to Cedars Sinai to recover from all of that, as well as undergoing follow-up procedures.

It’s not known which house Tiger Woods is recovering at. His main house is in Jupiter Island, Florida. But who knows, maybe he’s on bed rest at a house in California. Wherever he is, I hope he remembers to provide a forwarding address to the police, who are still investigating his crash. It was reported that the authorities had no plans to test his blood for booze or drugs, and that everyone with a badge decided Tiger was just driving too fast. But later we learned they wanted the black box from his vehicle, to see exactly how darn fast Tiger was driving, or if he applied his brakes, or any other number of factors that would contribute to his crash. Tiger allegedly told investigators that not only did he not remember getting into the crash, but he didn’t even remember driving that morning.

Tiger definitely has a lot of rehab to do at home, because lower-body surgery is no joke. But he also just signed a new contract with video game developer 2K to make more video games (the last one he made was released in 2013). Maybe they could hold off on development for the time being. Tiger’s trading golf for rest right now. And you don’t want his rest at home to subconsciously overshadow his passion for golfing in that video game. “Hey guys, how about instead of a golf course, this takes place inside my living room, and the first challenge is to decide whether to watch a new episode of Judge Judy or a rerun of Coach.
