Larry King Has Reportedly Been Hospitalized With COVID-19 For More Than A Week
Grab a pair of suspenders and form a prayer circle around it because talk show legend and the King of Suspenders, Larry King, is reportedly in a hospital in Los Angeles, battling coronavirus. Roger Friedman’s Showbiz411 says that 87-year-old has been fighting COVID-19 for around 12 days.
It has been a shitty few years for Larry King. In 2017, Larry, who has Type 2 diabetes, was diagnosed with lung cancer, but thankfully he underwent a successful surgery and was able to breathe better. But in 2019, Larry had heart surgery to put a stent in (Larry had a heart attack in 1987), and weeks later he had a major stroke that left him in a coma for a couple of weeks and nearly killed him. And this year, Larry tragically lost two of his children within weeks. Larry’s 65-year-old son Andy King died of a heart attack, and 23 days later, his 51-year-old daughter Chaia King died of lung cancer. Andy’s funeral was in Florida and Larry couldn’t go because of the pandemic. So Larry King has been through a lot of sadness and now he’s slathered his face with Crisco and dipped his fists in glue and glass to fight coronavirus.
CNN says that because of hospital protocol, Larry’s estranged wife, Shawn King, and his three sons (59-year-old Larry King Jr., 21-year-old Chance Armstrong King, and 20-year-old Cannon Edward King) aren’t able to visit him. Larry’s rep wouldn’t comment on this, but a family source said this to CNN:
“Larry has fought so many health issues in the last few years and he is fighting this one hard too, he’s a champ.”
Hopefully, Larry will recover and add coronavirus to the list of demons he’s taken down. And once he gets better, he can team up with Danny Pudi because Pudi & King is the comedy duo that 2021 needs:
