Christmas Tree Fairy Lights!

Oh, the subtle glamour and demure elegance of the Christmas tree fairy lights. Not only were they a sparkling dessert for your eyes, but they were also a dangerous weapon that could stab your evil witch parents in the back when you dropped the Christmas tree on their rude asses for not getting you fucking cha-cha heels, black ones!

Christmas tree fairy lights first blessed eyeballs with their shimmering gorgeousness in the 1960s, but since the 1980s was also the era of timeless glamour, many decorated their trees with these opulent strings of beauty that were so magnificent they looked like the anal beads of masochist angels. Growing up, I wasn’t the only fairy who lit up on Christmas morning, because we had a string of Christmas tree fairy lights. And during Christmastimes, nothing was more beautiful to me than our tree done up in fairy lights and foil decorations. Sadly, we didn’t have a tinsel tree, but we did have a star that was made of tinsel and fairy lights and sort of looked like this one below. WARNING: You’ll want to look at the fairy lights and tinsel star through a pinhole in a paper or its powerful beauty will make you go blind!

Unlike the LED Christmas tree lights of today, if one fairy light went out, they all went out. They were loyal to each other like that. And it honestly wasn’t Christmas in the 80s until someone in the family let out a screech of pain after stepping on a fairy light.
