Wendy Williams Has No Plans To Return To @Home Editions

The Wendy Williams show has been off the air for a while, but not due to coronavirus. Wendy Williams announced she was taking some time off to handle symptoms from her Graves’ disease which she’s dealt with for years. Before taking a break, Wendy did her show in front of a webcam and in the middle of her hoarding warehouse of a kitchen. Well, Wendy is feeling better but she’s still not into working from home. It’s been announced that the show will not be returning until New York allows filming to resume in her studio. The Wendy Williams drought continues! How will the bitchy pop-culture gays survive Pride month without her?! (I’m a snarky pop culture gay–there’s a slight difference.)
Even though Wendy’s been dying to get back to work, she announced on her social media that her @Home shows are done for now and she’ll go back to spewing out nonsense fuckery once she’s given the thumbs up by the state of New York. “Keep that thumb down, New York,” said Sharon Osbourne. Wendy said in her video:
“Hello! Hi, it’s me from home! And hopefully for not too long. You know what I’m waiting for? I’m waiting for the state of New York to say that we as a show can go back… I want to go back to do our show. Nothing makes me happier than to be Wendy on The Wendy Show… What I want the most is to be with you. I miss you. I miss you a lot.”

The show has been renewed through the 2021-2022 season, so there’s more Wendy to come for sure. And a rep for the show said that if coronavirus quarantine restrictions keep Wendy from going back into her studio later in the year, she may turn on her webcam and fire up that industrial-strength ring light again. via Deadline:
“The goal is to be back in studio as soon as we are allowed,” a show spokesperson confirmed in a statement. “If that is delayed until later in the year, we may revisit the @ Home shows.”
Wendy mentioned in her video that they used to have 200 people in the audience but will “never have that again”. How sad, tickets forThe Wendy Williams show are about to be as exclusive as Coachella. The Hollywood live-show ticket-demand just shot up! Imagine The View? Some middle-aged woman is going to get scalped over those live-audience tickets! Though, at least if that happens for The Wendy Williams Show Wendy can make a new wig out of the remains.
