Seth Rogen Has Zero Tolerance For Any “All Lives Matter” Commentary

We’re at a moment in time where typing “All Lives Matter” on various social media platforms should trigger an automatic pop-up that asks, “Are you sure this is the message you want to communicate?“. Because as we all should have learned by now, whether through self-education or that burning house comic, shouting “All Lives Matter” right now isn’t exactly a helpful thing to do. Still, a bunch of people have been responding to Seth Rogen’s recent Instagram post amplifying the Black Lives Matter message by clogging up his comments with the insistence that, “All Lives Matter.” If Seth’s fans were hoping to engage with Seth, they got what they wished for. The only thing is, his response has been to very bluntly request that they all go fuck themselves.
Seth has been actively retweeting people on Twitter and encouraging people to make donations. He’s also made it very clear which side of the police brutality protests he’s on.
Always be more critical of the people upholding the racist system than the ones who are fighting against it.

Over on Instagram, he very clearly let his 8 million followers know that they should probably go ahead and unfollow his account if they don’t believe in the Black Lives Matter message.
I’d say that’s a pretty straightforward set of instructions. But apparently not everyone understood that “unfollow” doesn’t mean, “Please sound off in the comments below as to why you disagree with this statement, and please – try to be as obnoxious and tone-deaf as possible about it.” Entertainment Weekly says that it wasn’t long before some people started replying to Seth with comments like, “All lives matter. Because life is precious. No life is more important than another“. One Instagram user accused Seth of making it about race, while another accused Seth of racism for prioritizing Black Lives. Many kept it simple with an #alllivesmatter hashtag. Seth also kept it simple with his replies:

Spent the last 15 minutes watching Seth Rogen actively reply to his BLM post telling racists to fuck off and I hope this man is having an amazing day pic.twitter.com/XxiBGjx4er

Seth’s responses ranged from simplistic and direct, like, “Fuck you,” “Fuck off,” and “Get fucked,” to the more creative, “Fuck you and your father,” and my personal favorite, “Eat shit and fuck you.” He also encouraged many of the All Lives Matters types to stop watching his movies, and to officially cease being a Seth Rogen fan.
Shutting down all that noise was a good way for Seth to be an ally. But if he really wanted to do more, I think I have an idea. Seth could do some research and make a list of black-owned sex toy shops. Then, the next time someone comments “All Lives Matter,” he can reply, “Go fuck yourself. And when you do decide to go fuck yourself, please purchase your dildo here.”
