Keanu Reeves’ Girlfriend Explained Why She Doesn’t Dye Her Hair

Keanu ReevesgirlfriendAlexandra Grant, is probably so sick of hearing “has anyone ever told you you look just like Helen Mirren?,” it’s a shock she hasn’t just gone ahead and dyed her hair purple just to make it stop. However, in an Instagram post, Alexandra revealed that she doesn’t dye her hair for health reasons, and cited a recent Newsweek article that reported a link between breast cancer and the use of permanent hair dyes and relaxers. Can you believe this lady? She’d rather be compared to a glamorous, titled, international superstar like Dame Helen than have her tits try to murder her in her sleep. In 2019? I can’t understand what Keanu sees in her!

Alexandra says that she started to go gray in her 20s and dyed her hair “every color along the way” until that shit started making her sick. As a woman who spent my 20s literally burning my scalp with lye, I’m jealous because I always wanted to do fun colors, but knew if I added bleach to the mix I’d end up looking like Telly Savalas with tits. So I can relate. Here’s Alexandra’s post.

Here’s a horrifying statistic from that article.

Taken as a group women who regularly dyed their hair appeared to be increasing their risk of developing breast cancer by 9 percent. However, for black women, the risk of developing breast cancer was significantly higher—at 45 percent.

There also appeared to be differences depending on the type of hair dye used. Dark hair dye was associated with a 51 percent increase in risk for black women and an 8 percent in risk for white women. When it came to light hair dye, there appeared to be a 46 percent increase in risk for black women and a 12 percent increase risk for white women.

If Alexandra can teach us anything here, it’s that you don’t have to be a slave to beauty standards to be attractive to a rich, famous, Hollywood movie star (let’s face it, that’s the only hope that gets most of us up in the morning/afternoon). As long as that rich, famous, Hollywood movie star is Keanu Reeves. If it’s Leonardo DiCaprio, you’re screwed.
