Hunter Biden’s Lawyers Have Requested To Be Removed From His Paternity Case

Joe Biden’s constantly-newsworthy-in-the-worst-ways son Hunter Biden is at it again. For the latter part of this year, Hunter has proved he’s got a back-up future career as a dodgeball coach by tirelessly dodging financial responsibility for the 16-month-old baby he made with a woman in Arkansas. Yesterday, the child’s mother, Lunden Alexis Roberts, showed up to a scheduled court hearing regarding their child. Hunter was a no-show. His lawyers showed up, but only to say that Hunter fired them.

Page Six says that moments before the hearing was scheduled to begin in Batesville, Arkansas, Hunter’s primary lawyer Dustin McDaniel filed a motion to withdraw his team from the case. Dustin cited an unspecified “irreconcilable conflict” for why they would not be continuing, and added that Hunter’s personal attorney had “advised undersigned counsel of discharge.” Hunter told his lawyer to pass on the message to his other lawyers that they were fired. Since Hunter wasn’t in court and his legal team left the case, the hearing ended.

Lunden Roberts sued Hunter earlier this summer, saying that she didn’t want a big, dramatic custody fight, but that she just wanted Hunter to step up and help pay for some things. She’s seeking a child support agreement, and $11,000 to cover court costs and attorney fees. Their next court hearing is scheduled for January 7th.

A paternity test recently revealed that Hunter is the child’s father. Hunter hasn’t disputed his paternity, but he has been dragging his feet on committing to child support, because he needed to “consult” with his accountants first. The Daily Mail says that the case’s judge has requested at least three years of Hunter’s tax returns to determine how much child support Hunter should be forking over every month. That could be dicey, considering that Hunter is kind of in the middle of a Ukrainian employment scandal at the moment.

We also know more about where Hunter allegedly met Lunden. Page Six says that Hunter was first introduced to Hunter at one of his favorite Washington D.C. strip clubs, the Mpire Club. Lunden worked for a time under the name “Dallas,” and sources tell Page Six she was employed at Mpire around the time she became pregnant. They also say that Hunter was a regular.

It’s not known why Hunter would dismiss his legal team from this lawsuit. And I’m no lawyer, but it seems pretty cut and dry: you allegedly made a baby, now you get to help pay for it. Like, what is Hunter’s plan here? Actually since it’s Not-Great Decisions Hunter, my guess is that he’s going to call up his dad, ask for a couple bucks for a new ride, because he can’t get away from this situation fast enough on his own. Oh, and maybe also the number of his vehicle wrap guy to see if he can get a “NO MONEY!” decal for the side.
