Chris Cuomo Lost It After A Guy Called Him “Fredo”
I saw the word Fredo trending on Twitter yesterday and wondered, “Fuck, they’re rebooting Lord of the Rings again?!” But it turns out, it was trending because of a messy situation involving CNN’s Chris Cuomo. Chris threatened to throw a man down the stairs after the man called him a “Fredo,” which is apparently a slur.
TMZ reports that Chris was approached while out in New York on Sunday and shit got real in a hurry. A man went ahead and called Chris a “Fredo” which apparently means weakness and is from The Godfather. Urban Dictionary explains it like this:
To be the “black sheep” in the family, like the one that is the goof and the screw up. Named after Fredo Corleone, who was Michael’s older brother in the Godfather, and he was considered to be the failure in the family.
The proud Italian Christopher Cuomo went in on the man and called him out for the “slur” comparing it to the N-word, which NO. With that being said, it’s clear these guys are there purposely to troll this man and generate a reaction, and boy do they get one. The Queens jumped out of Chris real quick and he said to the man:
“I’ll fuckin’ ruin your shit. I’ll fuckin’ throw you down these stairs like a fuckin’ punk.”
Chris went from serious CNN journalist to drunk douche bro at the club in less than a second. If you watch the clip below, it looks like it was a set up to get Chris to reenact scenes from The Best Of Jersey Shore, and it worked!
Chris was off his show last night on a planned break. CNN gave out a statement saying:
“Chris defended himself when he was verbally attacked with the use of an ethnic slur in an orchestrated setup. We completely support him.”
Donald Trump took aim at Chris because he has time for that after solving all of the country’s problems.

Chris also took to Twitter to basically apologize for giving in to the goad and letting it be known that this is par for the course these days:

What a trashy display. It’s incredible that American politics have literally turned a reality show on MTV. What’s next? Anderson Cooper is going to blow up on the next gay Republican who exposes him for still going to Equinox? I believe it.
