Celine Dion’s Team Says Pepe Muñoz Isn’t Calling The Shots

It was rumored recently that Celine Dion was putting all her faith and trust in her backup dancer Pepe Muñoz, who is allegedly attempting to take complete control over Celine’s life. It definitely sounded a bit like someone was planning to slip Celine a note written in French with instructions to blink twice if she needed help. But Celine’s people have spoken, and they claim there’s nothing shady about the Pepe situation.
One source that spoke to Page Six claimed that Pepe had stepped into the role left vacant by Celine’s husband René Angélil after he died three years ago. That same source claimed that Pepe was actively isolating Celine from her inner circle, and that Celine was in love with Pepe, despite Pepe being gay. Another source said that Pepe’s interference had caused several people – like Celine’s stylist Law Roach – to quit. A third source said that there was nothing sinister going on. That third source might know what’s up – or at least knows what some of the inner circle things. Because a few members of Celine’s inner circle responded with their thoughts earlier today on Twitter in a letter addressed to Pepe, and they’re standing in support of him.

Obviously that letter could be an act of major damage control. But then again, it could be the truth. Pepe obviously gets along with some members of Celine’s team. Take this picture of Celine at a recent fitting, for example. Pepe tagged her wardrobe stylist (Sydney) and hair stylist (Dee) – both people who signed that Twitter letter.
He also quoted Liberace. Looking back, that probably wasn’t a great move. Because it doesn’t matter how many Twitter letters get written in defense of you; quoting Liberace will have skeptics like me wondering if this is a Behind The Candelabra situation. An aging musical legend with a penchant for drama and opulence “adopts” a young pet, who in turn might be in it for the wrong reasons. Honestly, the most dishonorable person here is myself for referring to Celine as “aging.”
