Celine Dion’s Friends May Be Worried About Her Relationship With Her Gay Bestie, Pepe Muñoz

There is some drama brewing in Celine Dion world! Gay drama! Apparently people close to the Canadian Heart of the Ocean are worried that her precious shine is being hogged by one Pepe Muñoz–her homosexual backup dancer who may be spending a little too much time with Celine. No, he’s not deciding to turn straight for Diva Queen, Celine Dion (which would actually be the gayest thing he could do), but he is apparently becoming controlling of her and her career.

Page Six says Celine may be falling victim to the charms of her gay best friend. Apparently Celine’s “inner circle” is worried about her. Since her husband, René Angélil, passed away in 2016 they’re worried that Pepe has stepped into a position of too much influence over Celine. A source tells Page Six:

“Pepe is like her boy toy who is really trying to take over. He’s isolating her and people are feeling it. She’s in love with this guy and listens to everything he’s saying. People go to him when they have questions. He’s fully taken over. The only people around her now [are] Pepe, the hairdresser and the stylist… It’s crazy. She knows he’s gay and is accepting of it. She needs someone close to her and she fell in love. He’s turned into a René type.”

Sources tell Page Six that Pepe is apparently the reason some senior people of Dion’s team have left recently–like her stylist Law Roach who turned her into this Glamazon Queen over the last few years. And of course there’s another source who’s saying this is all bullshit and that Pepe getting rid of people is the “farthest from the truth.”

“He’s an amazing inspiration for her. He’s inspiring her to take risks. It’s not a bad thing. He’s not managing her. People change their teams. She’s smart and at the helm of her career. She’s calling the shots now… There have been no hiccups. She’s reinventing herself and she’s thriving right now.”

But another source is adamant that Pepe is a controlling Celine, so much so that her management speak to him before Celine:

“People are freaked out by it. He has this clique that he keeps very small. It’s Celine, himself, a hair person and the stylist. That’s the group–even management goes to him when they need something.”

Celine has previously talked about her love for Pepe after the passing of her husband:

“The press said, ‘Oh my God, René just passed and now there’s another man.’ Yeah, there’s another man in my life, but not the man in my life… We’re friends, we’re best friends.”

Here’s hoping that Pepe Muñoz isn’t actually trying to keep Celine away from people so he can Single White Female her life. I mean, come on: they’re just best friends! Every female celebrity diva needs an overly-controlling gay bestie! Why do you think Kathy Griffin was so angry when she lost hers!
