Christina MiIian Is Having A Baby
People reports that the latest famous person to announce that they will soon be waddling around on swollen ankles and snacking on saltine crackers to beat the fist trimester barfs is Christina Milian.
Christina hasn’t released an album since 2006, and in the meantime she’s been acting in various TV shows and the odd Hallmark movie. She’s also very active on social media, and does the odd sponsored post for Fashion Nova and the like. With that kind of current resume, you might think that Christina might have announced she was pregnant by holding up a Clear Blue stick in one hand and a tumbler of pregnancy-safe detox tea in the other. But 37-year-old Christina and her 33-year-old boyfriend (or possible fiancé), French singer Matt Pokora did it in a pretty predictable way. They posed with the sonogram pic posted yesterday to Instagram.
Matt posted a black and white version of that picture, but his caption read:
“La relève est en route! Legacy on the way! #happyman”
As you have probably already guessed, this will be Matt’s first kid. Christina has a 9-year-old daughter named Violet from her ex-husband, The-Dream.
Christina and Matt have been together for about two years. I hope Christina and Matt beefed up security at their house after it was robbed twice last year. I’d hate for a new pack of bandits to make off with their brand-new Baby Bjorns and Silver Cross strollers.
If you’re at all familiar with Christina Milian’s discography, then you know it would be criminal of me not to make a song-themed joke about her pregnancy. Like that this announcement is proof that she’s been dipping it low and letting Matt pop, pop, pop that thing. You could even assume they’ve been doing it AM to PM. I was about to go for a joke about Christina initiating baby-making by hinting, “Every little thing that we do – and I mean everything – should be between me and you.” But that song was recorded with Ja Rule. And I’m pretty sure he had nothing to do with this. You know, because she’s not with Ja Rule. But also because he’s too busy fighting with people on the internet.
