Joe Jonas And Sophie Turner’s Dog Was Tragically Killed By A Car In NYC

Here’s your daily dose of heartbreaking. TMZ reports that newlyweds Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s dog, an Alaskan Klee Kai named Waldo, was struck and killed by a car in NYC on Wednesday.

The couple’s dog walker was taking Waldo for a stroll in the couple’s Lower East Side neighborhood, and random horror broke out.

Their dog walker had Waldo on a leash when the dog got spooked by a pedestrian, broke free, ran into the street and was struck by a vehicle. A rep for Joe called it “a freak accident.”

Joe and Sophie reported the incident on Friday, and told the cops that they delayed coming in for two days because they were so grief-stricken they had to go to a therapist on Thursday. And in a sad/happy situation, they also own Waldo’s brother Porky. Porky was a surprise from Joe for Sophie, and they went back and got Waldo in April of 2018 because they wanted another dog.

Joe was spotted out walking Porky on Thursday, the day after they lost Waldo. That dog-walker must be beside themselves. *sad-face*

On a related personal note, the other Mr. Harvey and I lost our teacup poodle Cooper very suddenly last month. As in, “woke up and Cooper’s gone” suddenly. Whereas in times past, I’d be the asshole clownin’ on celebrities running to a therapist over a pet, now I fully support them and would drive them myself and indulge in group hugs and sobfests galore with JoJo and Sansa. Honestly, we’re mourning Coopy more than we would certain members of our families. Pets are your kids. Anyone who tells you differently has either never had one or is an utter sociopath. I feel you, Joe and Sophie.
