A Bench Warrant Was Issued For Tori Spelling In California

Tori Spelling can run but she cannot hide. City National Bank has been coming after her for a while. The former (and now current again) Beverly Hills, 90210 mess has owed City National a shit ton of money for quite some time now. She was supposed to have paid off a loan she took out years ago, years ago, but Tori is as good with money as Dean McDermott is with staying faithful. Well, the California court system is ready to come down hard on ol’ girl, because they just issued a bench warrant for her arrest for not showing up to court.

E! News reports that Tori was due in court on March 29 but didn’t show up. Tori still has yet to pay back all of the money she owes for a loan of $400,000 she and Dean took out in 2016. They failed to pay around $190,000 on the bill including some good old-fashioned interest and late charges. In 2017 the court sided with City Bank because the couple failed to reach a deadline of responding to the bank’s allegations (probably because the allegation that you borrowed money and never paid it back is highly easy to prove) so there was a default judgment against them.

You’d think that the courts telling you to cough up the money would get you to come correct, but not Tori. Instead of showing up to court on March 29th, she was in Tel Aviv. Yup, homegirl hopped on a plane (which I hope someone else paid for because, sis?) when she had pending legal matters to deal with, and got to work in Israel with friend/co-star/partner in Botox and filter-overusing Jennie Garth, promoting children’s clothing and her makeup line on Instagram:

A Writ of Execution was filed a day before Tori’s court date on March 28th, and it said that Tori now owes more than $260,000 to City Bank, which is a lot more than the almost $190,000 she owed before. So the judge issued a bench warrant for her and set a new court date of May 1st. Tori’s bail (if she ever decides to come back from Tel Aviv) is set at $5,000. Fingers-crossed that she can afford it.

Meanwhile, Dean (who I guess is not going to be arrested? Like is her name the only one on the loan?) was on social media talking about something completely different. On Saturday, he hopped on social media to defend his wife’s choice of snack food which pissed off the Instagram mom crowd last week:

“Hey everybody I am sick and tired, sick and tired, of everybody taking a shot at my wife Tori Spelling… Just because she’s a celebrity they think they can say and do whatever they want. She posted about a snack. It’s a snack, people. Haven’t we given our kids a snack before? Cakes, cookies, whatever. It’s a snack… She’s a great mom…We’re great parents. Our kids eat healthy. They eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, and occasionally they have a snack. So can we get over ourselves?”

So while the government of California is ready to slap some cuffs on Tori for her financial issues, at least it really looks like all those marriage issues with Dean which she wants us to believe never existed in the first place, are now over! Win some and lose some, I guess. Hopefully they’ll let him come for some conjugal visits when Tori gets locked up for being broke.
