Millie Bobby Brown Is Text Friends With Drake

Today in “extremely random friendships that I couldn’t have predicted even with the help of a crystal ball” news, 14-year-old Millie Bobby Brown of Stranger Things claims she’s friend with 31-year-old Drake. This is the second time this week Drake has made the news for his relationship with a teen girl, except this relationship is a lot more G-rated.

While walking the carpet at the Emmy awards on Monday, Millie was asked by Access Hollywood how she became friends with Drake. Millie says she met Drake in Australia, and they text all the time. Aw, that’s nice – a famous person from the continent of Europe who will actually text Drake back.

“I love him. I met him in Australia and he’s honestly so fantastic. A great friend and a great role model. We text. We just texted each other the other day, and he was like ‘I miss you so much,’ and I was like ‘I miss you more!’ He’s coming to Atlanta, so I’m definitely going to go and see him. I’m so excited.”

Again, before anyone gets weirded out by Millie meeting up with Drake in Atlanta, please keep in mind that Stranger Things films there and Drake will be there when the Aubrey & The Three Migos Tour wraps up in November. Still, maybe Drake would be wise to meet up with her for milkshakes instead of whatever they’re serving backstage after the show.

Millie adds that Drake often texts her advice about boys, but she wouldn’t elaborate further, saying “That stays in the text messages.” That advice should probably stay with Drake, to be honest. Drake’s personal life has been a bit of a mess, and I don’t think it’s too far of a stretch to suggest maybe he’s not the best person to be giving a 14-year-old advice. The only thing he should be texting back when Millie has a problem is a link to a relevant Degrassi: The Next Generation clip. Those lessons will never steer you wrong.
