Jaden Smith Has Explained Some Of His Weirder Tweets

August 2, 2018 / Posted by:

There was a time when the only hope of understanding Jaden Smith’s weirdo tweets might have come in the form of a night class offered at an adult education facility located on a planet 12,000 light years away. But not anymore! Jaden Smith is here to walk you through some of his more bizarre tweets, and there’s no risk that you’ll also be offered a free copy of Dianetics.

Jaden was asked by The Huffington Post why he’s not nearly as prolific on Twitter as he once was. Specifically, after Jaden gave bonkers interview to GQ back in 2015, he cooled it with the social media. Jaden says he stopped tweeting as often because people were judging him too much.

When asked if his concern about criticism online is what led him to publish fewer classic Jaden Smith tweets, he told us, “Yeah it has. That’s a big thing. Every once in a while I might go crazy on Twitter and say some crazy stuff, but that has changed my relationship with Twitter and social media.”

HuffPo asked him to explain what he meant by some of the more brain-scratching ones.

This is an easy one to answer – just ask an optometrist if you’re dealing with real eyes or some fake glass ones. But according to Jaden, this comes from a scientific study.

“So, like, we can only see three base colors, but there’s so much more on the electromagnetic spectrum of light that we could see, but our eyes are just not capable of seeing, which brought me to the realization that what we see on an everyday basis is not actually what’s there. It’s actually only what we can take in.”

Earlier this year, Jaden claimed he’s not a human.

He stands by that one:

“That’s true! That’s true! Because I’m not gonna be categorized as a human. Oh, humans are supposed to do this or act like this or people are supposed to act like this or people are supposed to be this. I’m my own thing. Don’t judge me off some standards that were made up before I was born. I’m doing my own thing.”

Sadly, there are some that Jaden just can’t explain, like this tweet from four years ago about cupcakes and trees and…you know what, I’m not sure either.

Jaden says:

“I really don’t know where my head was at with that one.”

For the most part, Jaden stands by his tweets, and argues that they’re all true facts. Jaden also says that his favorite thing to do is tweet in Portuguese, because he feels that his Portuguese fans like him more than his American fans.

I know that the official language of Brazil is Portuguese, so any of Jaden’s Portuguese-speaking fans that live there better watch out if they tweet “Come to Brazil!” to him. That’s a be careful what you wish for if I’ve ever heard one. Not only will Jaden come to Brazil, he’ll temporarily move in with you, waking you up at 3am, asking if you want to feel the night sky’s harmonious vibrations with him.
