Gigi Hadid Defends Her Absolutely Real Relationship With Zayn Malik

July 5, 2018 / Posted by:

Gigi Hadid has taken time away from giving the runway the worst lazy walk from a paid model and feeling mildly guilty about her privileged life to go at her Instagram “haters” about her relationship.

Here’s the scenario: there is an Instagram account dedicated to exposing the “fake” relationship going on between 23-year-old Gigi and 25-year-old Zayn Malik (formerly of One Direction, currently of nothing). Of course you’ll remember they broke up recently, but then they got back together. So this account–which is for some reason private–posts user-submitted “confessions” about the two, which prove that Gigi and Zayn are only dating for publicity. Or something; I’m unclear on the motive.

E! says that on Tuesday, this account posted something which set Gigi off. And it wasn’t a bad spray tan. They posted a picture of the couple kissing with a caption:

“Whatever zigi does for promo. Fact is that, Zayn is not going to follow gigi or ever going [to] post her picture on his Instagram again.”

That’s deep! Don’t call out Zayn for not following his girlfriend! They are still Instagram-official-real! Well Gigi wrote a fucking paragraph in reply:

See where she wrote “this is my last comment on the matter”? People need to stop saying that. Because when they inevitably do comment more, it looks desperate. Also love that call out: “my eyes are tattooed on his chest”. Better than a ring, honey! He’s gonna have to burn those emotionally-vacant eyes off of him! Mark him for the next ho!

I have to point something out in this mess. How is Gigi involved in any of this if she herself is not following this account? The account is private so she has to be following the exposure of her own fake relationship to even be seeing this? Anyway, the owner of the confession Instagram, then replied to Gigi with what I consider to be the strangest aspect of this story. They replied to Gigi like loving fans:

“I don’t care, comment or no comment, I will still like you lol. I know you aren’t a bad person which is why this confession didn’t come from me. I will still keep this account and believe what I want to believe. All the love though x”

After people kept buzzing online about this situation I know you care about, another member of the Instagram account wrote that they “have NEVER hated on Gigi nor said ANYTHING bad about her“.

So Gigi commented once MORE, this time replying to someone telling her she should have left this whole argument off of Instagram and kept it in the DMs. I have a better idea, she should have kept it off everything. Here’s her lengthy reply:

“I see your point that it should have been a direct message, and I agree- just didn’t think of it… This is all just very frustrating and I’m only human … I’ve seen the s–t on this account for just as long as u- and have too stand quiet. – I’ve just had enough.. just because I’m ‘a celebrity’ doesn’t mean I don’t feel, or that my time is too precious to not listen to what people have to say. I’m sure you can see how assumptions like this can be hurtful, especially about someone I love deeply- if you guys love him too, sooner or later you’ll realize we’re on the same team. ;)… I’m sorry if it came off immature, I’m just trying to open a dialog so people understand that their words are hurtful and not just an ‘anonymous confession’… This internet culture is cruel and does not serve a greater purpose. It’s not about anyone standing up for me or about this taking time away from fans that support me, if people that run/follow this account don’t want to believe me or take my advice it’s fine … but one day some of you will look back and realize that sending so much negative energy to others is a waste of life…. I know my truth, we know our truth, this s–t won’t change that… Just trying to save some lil girls some time, that’s all …. If they don’t want to see it that way, then you’re right, I’m wasting my time too … but here we are. xx.”

Yeah, what the fuck, Gigi? I feel like this girl has written more words in these Instagram comments than she has in her whole life leading up to them. Give these beautiful 20-year-olds one minor Internet conflict and suddenly those 2000-word essays seem like footnotes.
