Ricky Martin Answered Gus Kenworthy’s Missed Connection Ad

The thirst trap was set for a Livin La Vida Foursome yesterday when Gus Kenworthy and his boyfriend Matthew Wilkas posted a pseudo-Missed Connection ad on Instagram after they met Ricky Martin and Ricky’s husband Jwan Yosef at the Oscars on Sunday. However, unlike most Craigslist Missed Connections where the person you’re looking for never responds and all you get is a clogged Gmail from creepers, Ricky actually responded to this one!

Ricky was on The Talk today, and Julie Chen read Gus’ Instagram post. Ricky seemed more than ready to play after spending a good while sizing up the photo of Gus and Matthew by announcing, “Of course we’re going to connect! I mean, he’s a national hero. Give me a break. Are we flattered? Yes, we’re flattered.”

This really sent me into a philosophical state because this seems like dual novelty boning, y’know what I mean? Gus will have decades of late-90s pop wordplay at his disposal, and Ricky can make all sorts of cracks about winning the bedroom Olympics.

Someone who also seems flattered? Take a guess.

Well, isn’t this just special…while a nor’easter sweeps all of us up here in Boston out to sea, out in La La Land, there’s about to be a four-man bedroom bobsled.
