All the cougars in the den are pouring one out today for Cheryl And The Amazing Technicolor Changing Last Name (but we know her best as Cheryl Cole), as reports have emerged that things aren’t so rosy at the One Direction/Girls Aloud Estate. Cheryl and Liam Payne are reportedly on the cusp of splitting up. Coincidentally, he has a new single out with Rita Ora. Color me shocked!
The Sun actually says it’s Liam’s constant traveling and hectic work schedule that is putting a strain on the relationship, which mainly just means Rita’s team hasn’t gotten around to dropping an anonymous tip that she’s totally the reason just to drum up publicity for their song. Liam has been doing well with his solo career post-One Direction, but that has meant that Cheryl is stuck at home for weeks at a time with their 11-month-old son, Bear. There have apparently been “crisis talks” to figure out what the future holds for the duo once Liam is back in the U.K. after his tour. A source says that the age difference between 34-year-old Cheryl and 24-year-old Liam is what doomed them.
“There’s a big age gap between them. If they didn’t have Bear then they would have most likely split up by now.”

The Mirror says the two are battling the Woking Borough Council to add a mammoth expansion to their Surrey mansion, relationship rumors be damned! They have plans to add a guest house, indoor pool, and garage to house all their pimped out rides, which honestly just sounds like a great foray for Chip and Joanna Gaines now that they’re out at HGTV.
