Gwyneth Paltrow Says Chris Martin Is “Like A Brother”

We have kissing cousins galore back home in the South (how do you think I was Make-Out King of HeeHaw County three years in a row? Kidding! I got that from making out with a squirrel.), but a brother-sister fling is just taking things way too far! Or it could be the next Christmas list line item on Goop, as Gwyneth Paltrow went on late night TV to says she views ex-husband Chris Martin as a brother.

HuffPost says Gwyn went on The Late Show, where she told Stephen Colbert all about Goop (zzzz). She actually did somewhat of a convincing job, saying the ridiculous stuff (like buying a private island in Belize) she promotes is supposed to be ridiculous, and we should just all read the headlines! Where she lost me is when she talked about the current issue of her Goop magazine, which flaunts how she’s engaged to Brad Falchuk. Stephen alluded to her whole “conscious uncoupling” bit and how it relates to Chris and Brad getting along, and Gwyn, well, was Gwyn…:

“He’s really like my brother. We’re very familial. It’s really nice. It’s great.”

Before we get into a whole Cersei/Game Of Thrones sibling-fucker scenario, Stephen even called her out on it being a bit too weird to call your baby daddy (even if he is an ex!) your brother, to which she responded, “Which would explain the divorce.” Oh! That’s going to be a fun way to view celeb break-ups going forward. Brangelina? Siblings…actually, that would maybe make sense in what Angelina saw in him in the first place.

Now, Gwyneth says she and Chris weren’t always friends, but now they are.

It wouldn’t be Gwyneth if she didn’t have at least one Goop moment. Head to the 7:54 mark in the interview below, and watch Stephen asks if she’s more evolved than the rest of us, in terms of her relationships. She replies with a no, but that smize and smirk is really saying, “You bet your private island in Belize stocking stuffer I’m more evolved than you, peasant!!!
