Cheryl Tweedy Rebounds With Liam Payne From One Direction

Although spring is a little ways off, love is in the air! Can’t you feel it? Though your toes are numb, your face frozen and you’re hungover – you read DListed, I know you’re hungover, I don’t need my Detective LaToya brand magnifying glass or fingerprint dusting kit to figure that out, my dear Mr. Watson – you can feel the warmth of true love floating through the air and between the empty boxes of wine. Who do we have to thank for this blast of joy? Cheryl Tweedy Cole Fernandez-Versini and Liam Payne!

A source tells The Sun, Cheryl and Liam are “madly in love. This is the real deal. Cheryl and Liam are in a relationship. It was unexpected but they’ve both made each other incredibly happy.”

Cheryl is currently in the process of divorcing her latest piece, Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini – which is totally a real name and not something from a third tier soap opera that is filmed in English and then dubbed into Italian. She was married to him for 19 months and started the divorce in January, citing “unreasonable behaviour”, but it’s been reported that the relationship actually ended in August of last year, according to friends.

Liam split from his last girlfriend, Sophia Smith, in October, around the same time One Direction, or 1D as the kids call it, went on hiatus.

Cheryl and Liam have apparently been dating in super secret spy mode since the end of last year, around when she began the official divorce proceedings (I LOVE COURT ROOM WORDS). But the two have known each other for a long time. Cheryl is 32 and Liam is 22, but they met when he was 17, auditioning on The X Factor and she was a judge on it. Has she been biding her time with these other failed romances or was this a slow burn epiphany they both had? I don’t know. Do you? Let me know if you do.

Sealing the deal on this whole love affair is that Cheryl, according to another friend/source, has been helping Liam through the 1D break:

“Liam was really struggling with the idea of life after the band to begin with — being in the spotlight and that level of fame had started to get to him.”

And really sealing the deal on the whole thing is that Liam’s rose tattoo, which he got last month on his hand, is a tribute to the rose bush tattoo that Cheryl has covering her ass cheeks and lower back. Nothing says love like matching heinous tattoos.

Honestly though, this kind of makes sense to me. They’re both from bands that were made on a reality singing program – Cheryl SHOT TO FAME! as part of Girls Aloud, a band that was created on Popstars: The Rivals. She’s also known him since he was a toddler so she knows which burpy cloths he likes and what foods give him the squirts.

Since this is my first post related to Girls Aloud, here’s the video for their favorite song of mine. More “Martin Facts” – I love Girls Aloud and am still devastated they split. When will the pain end?!
